Impressions Face Painting will keep the minimum personal data of customers needed to supply the service. This will include an electronic copy of the booking form and invoices/receipts for payment, kept in a secure cloud-based storage for 6 years for legal and tax reasons. After this time the data will be securely deleted. Impressions Face Painting will share data only with your permission or when legally obliged. For the full privacy policy go to https://impressionsfacepainting.co.uk/privacy-policy/
DEPOSIT, PAYMENTS and CANCELLATIONS: Booking will be secured only when the 25% non-refundable deposit is received. Once payment is received, a receipt will be sent to you, the customer. By sending a payment you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set below. For organisations and corporations an invoice can be requested. The remaining fee should be paid by cash, cheque or bank transfer on or before the day of the event. If the customer has to cancel, the deposit will be retained by Impressions Face Painting. In the rare instance that I have to cancel, I will contact you at the earliest possibility. I will offer you a rescheduled date or full refund.
The customer will be expected to pay the full booking fee even if they use the artist for less time than booked for. If, at the event, additional work over the booked time is requested and agreed then payment will need to be made immediately. Fee for extra time is £25 per half hour or part thereof.
SET-UP: I will arrive 20 minutes before the agreed time. Please ensure that there is parking available as close to the entrance of the building as possible. Parking fees are expected to be paid by the customer. PACKING-UP: I will need 15-20 minutes packing up time.
INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL: I always use a clean sponge for each person. I clean my hands or use hand sanitiser between customers. Brushes are rinsed between persons and thoroughly washed between events. I rinse them in 70% alcohol after using on the lips. Water is changed frequently during the event. All equipment is cleaned/washed after each event.
In the event of a pandemic of an infectious disease, I will be following industry and government guidance which may require taking extra precautions. This may include wearing of a face mask, using hand sanitiser/ hand washing between customers, regularly cleaning high-touch points and disinfecting equipment between customers from different households. This will mean it takes me a little longer than usual to paint everyone. Individuals should stay 1 metre away from the face painting area when not being painted, and refrain from touching any of the equipment. It is the organiser’s responsibility to manage the waiting system.
FACE PAINTING:
Please ensure faces/noses are clean.
Children (and their actions) remain the responsibility of their parents/guardians/organiser at all times. Please have an adult wait with your children. I accept no responsibility for children’s welfare whilst queuing.
At private events/parties, it is the responsibility of the organiser to ensure that the permission of parents/guardians is obtained prior to children being painted.
I do not paint children below the age of 2. I will not paint any person (regardless of age) against their wishes – including sleeping children.
If the person to be painted has not been painted before or has sensitive skin, it is possible that face painting may cause irritation. Please therefore ask for a patch test. If there is no reaction after 15 minutes, the person may be painted. It is your responsibility to advise me of any sensitivity prior to painting and I accept no liability for irritation caused.
If an individual has had a previous reaction to face paint please let me know. In most instances I would advise not being painted or having a patch test first. If you go against my advice, I accept no responsibility for any possible outcome.
I reserve the right to refuse to paint the face of any person who appears unwell or with medical conditions such as, but not limited to cough, high temperature, cold sores, psoriasis, open wounds, broken skin, conjunctivitis or other eye infections, runny nose, infected skin, headlice. I may be able to paint the arm or hand of that person. Please do not allow anyone to come for face painting if they are unwell with a temperature or infectious disease or have tested positive for COVID 19 in the last 5 days.
The face paints I use are hypoallergenic, have been designed for professional use and comply with all the FDA/EEC cosmetic regulations, with the possible exception of 2 neon paints, which I will inform you of before offering. All face paints I use have been promoted as not tested on animals and suitable for vegans. As with any cosmetics, some people may be sensitive to any/all of the ingredients. Please ask if you wish to see the ingredients.
The best way to remove the paint from faces is with gentle soap and water. Some paints may leave a slight tint on the skin which should fade in a day or so.
I always paint with care but occasionally paint may rub onto clothes. I advise soaking in cold water with a little vanish before washing normally. I will not be held liable for any damage to clothing or property.
Glitter tattoos: Glitter tattoos are suitable for ages 3 and above. Glitter tattoos last for up to a week. If you wish to remove them sooner, a bit of baby oil or an oil-based lotion should help.
Photographs will not be taken by me or on my behalf without parental/guardian consent. Any photographs taken will be used for promotional purposes only and identities will not be revealed to third parties. A complimentary copy can be emailed to the parent/guardian upon request.
I have public liability insurance. A copy of the policy may be seen upon request.
Thank you
